With over 15 years’ experience in the trade, “The Carpenter” was launched in August 2012. Prior to forming “The Carpenter”, the majority of those 15 years were spent working for a large prestigious London based building company who delivered the highest standards of building and refurbishment work available in the market today. Their project works included challenging refurbishments and complex new builds of houses and apartments in prime locations within Central and Greater London.

The nature of carpentry

The nature of carpentry and building work in general is that a lot of it is made to measure or one off designs.  My aim is to provide imaginative, bespoke designs that are tailored to my clients’ requirements with a high quality finish.

To date, all of my work has been produced via word of mouth recommendations and my business is growing from strength to strength.

Jeff has completed a number of jobs for us (shelving units, fitted cupboards, fitted wardrobes and dressing table, side gate and fence panel, putting up a garden large shed, fitting new doors to old summerhouse) and we have been very happy with his work. His work is neat, and well executed and he always seems to understand exactly what we want and makes suggestions to improve on our ideas. He is also very reliable and tidy. We have recommended him to a number of friends who needed carpenters and they have also been very happy with his work.

Jeff has worked on a number of projects at my home (e.g. home office, clever concealed storage, bespoke TV/it wall hung unit, stair case) and I wouldn’t consider employing anyone else in his field. I was recommended the services of Jeff for a new kitchen that I had recently ordered, this included all new units, 5 new appliances and new kitchen doors. It was a full on project as it involved removing the entire old kitchen, with an internal wall and the existing floor being removed, new pipes being added and much more. Once the kitchen was a shell, Jeff then laid the new under floor heating, re-tiled the floor and then proceeded to build and join the units together 100% accurately, whilst all the time following his project plan. The finished result was superb! All our friends and visitors continue to be impressed by the kitchen and the work done. I am soon to be having bathrooms refurbished and Jeff will be offered the work without hesitation. I just hope he can fit us in…… I am more than happy to recommend the work Jeff does.
